Dr. Gomes is a graduate of Colorado State Veterinary School. He has come home to Paso Robles where he was born and raised. He comes from a family of local farriors and has been surrounded by animals his entire life. Prior to completing his DVM he was a squad leader in the US Army where he was a UAV Flight Instructor and Flight Mission Commander. He also has a bachelor's of science degree in molecular biology from Western Washington University. Dr Gomes' professional interests include general surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and shelter medicine. He has a strong passion for community outreach programs, working with groups such as World Vets and The Street Dog Coalition providing veterinary services to animals in need. Dr Gomes is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, World Vets, and Association of Shelter Veterinarians. He lives on a ranch in Paso Robles with his 3 dogs; Juniper (aussie shepard), Sullivan (aussie shepard), and Willow (cattle dog cross).
